Is Walla Walla Purple Octopus Mural Art or a Sign?

The city of Walla Walla doesn't like the mural of a giant purple octopus that was painted on the front of a downtown toy store. City Attorney Tim Donaldson said it violates the city's sign code. He's recommending that the city council take enforcement action. The owner of the Inland Octopus toy store, Bob Catsiff, said the mural is art, not a sign.

The Walla Walla Union-Bulletin reported it shows an octopus peeking over the walls of a castle with a rainbow overhead. It was painted over the Labor Day weekend.

Catsiff said everyone he talks to likes the mural. City Manager Nabile Shawa said the city has received a number of complaints.

Here is a list of some unusual products that I discovered this morning that I had to share with you. These pictures are actually webcams for your computer. These aren't your typical camera webcams you find at Office Depot, although the Depot is starting to carry a bigger variety, they never hit me as one to sport something that isn't 'professional' looking, which is a way to say that it lacks a little flavor and is boring to stare at for five to seven days a week, depending on if you are a workaholic or not. Still, they add a girlie cuteness to the whole webcam scene. For something that could work for the guy scene, I would consider the robot looking webcam, as it does add a techie look, but still doesn't fit the norm in webcams. Enjoy!
